There is very little folklore associated with West Kennet Long Barrow – the longest long barrow in England. There is just the sliver of a remnant of a story. On Midsummer’s Eve it is told that a spectre appears, a man and his white hound with the red ears of the cwm annwn, and he visits the barrow and makes a patrol of the general area.
