Scorhill Stone Circle

Scorhill Stone Circle

This Bronze Age stone circle has few folklore associated with hit, but the stories do tell that this was the home of a giant ogre who had a special attraction to sheep.  Any who would wander inside the circle would be smashed to death and eaten by him.  Of course the most famous myth surrounding the circle is that no horse or pony will go into the circle of stones or cross it's path.
