Castle-an-Dinas

Castle-an-Dinas

This Iron Age hillfort is reputed to be the seat of King Arthur's hunting hall and directly to the south west of this place is Tregoss Moor, his hunting grounds.  If you're out on the moor at the right time, you can hear the howl of his horn to herald the start of his spectral hunt of the phantom deer across the moor.

A related legend claims that Arthur's horse left a hoof print on a rock whilst out hunting, possibly this could be the capstone of Devil's Coyt a recently discovered chambered tomb.
